The Gratiaen Trust invites budding young writers to participate in an online workshop that will help them sharpen their English creative writing skills, while learning how to bring short stories to life. Three award winning Sri Lankan authors will facilitate the two day, interactive, feedback-oriented workshop.

Dates: 16th to 17th October

Qualifying age group: 14 – 17 years

  • An original short story or an extract of a story written by you (Language - English. Maximum 500 words)

Rules and Guidelines

  • The creative writing workshops will be free of charge to participants. A certificate will be issued to participants who attend both days of the workshop.

  • Application, along with short story submitted, must be in English.

  • The workshop is for a limited capacity. Selection of participants will be made by the Gratiaen Trust and is binding.

  • This workshop is exclusively for Sri Lankans residing in Sri Lanka.
